Basically, You've got to be a good author when you write little books for children with humour and a plot-line, and also you manage to get shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. These novels have proved great favourites with reading groups, causing readers to squirm with mingled horror and delight as she peels away the layers in all too familiar family relationships, exposing the tangled threads and conflicts beneath. When the Vicar gives chase, Tuffy climbs a tree and gets stuck. Appropriate Age Range I think the appropriate age range for this book would be for children aged 7 to 11 as it is hilariously funny and a child that age would be able to understand the humour at such an age.
How was I supposed to know things would get so. Perfect for developing readers aged 5—7. Katten Tuffy är en ganska besvärlig katt. The cat has a Garfield-like quality; being portrayed as a mischevious, carefree, lazy character. The Vicar becomes suspicious but Tuffy douses any suspicion by acting like a good cat. Tuffy relishes the delights of hanging out with his neighbourhood gang of cats during the night and feasting on left over food retrieved from bin bags.
Anne Fine lives in the north of England and has two grown up daughters. I messed up — big time. He and the gang plan to ignore the grumpy new cat-sitter, and run wild all night. All he has to do instead is pretend to be Janet, the heaven-sent cat. Another fun read about the title character and the adventures he has. When his chums taunt him about his increased girth, the resulting cat fight shreds the jammies. The hilarious antics of Tuffy and his family as told by the killer cat himself.
Tuffy rebels, torments the vicar, and then escapes next-door to luxurious meals and a cozy wicker basket. I messed up - big time. They add to the hilarious moments, like when Tuffy finds himself in a baby outfit. But everything goes wrong when Tufty is catapulted into the arms of horrid, sweet-as-pie, Melanie.

She was a part of my child-hood as I grew up and I also have enjoyed books she has written for older readers I say books. Anne is best known in her home country, England, as a writer principally for children, but over the years she has also written eight novels for adult readers. I realize now that this author must fill her books with sarcasm. The Tulip Touch won the Whitbread Children's Book of the Year Award; Goggle-Eyes won the Guardian Children's Fiction Award and the Carnegie Medal; Flour Babies won the Carnegie Medal and the Whitbread Children's Book of the Year; and Bill's New Frock won a Smarties Prize. Book 2 of the six book series, but this is the fifth that I have read, meaning I have read all of it except the first book, which is an odd way to read a series, but in this case it does not appear to matter too much. In this raucous sequel to The Diary of a Killer Cat, brimming with witty illustrations, Anne Fine reunites her readers with an unforgettable narrator who sees the world as only a conniving cat can. His human family are going away for a holiday. Perfect for readers of 7+.
I couldn't climb the tree. Would recommend this book to anyone of any age, this book as able to keep me engaged in the story through its witty lines and would so for children to. I would reccomend this book to children who do not enjoy reading; they are highly likely to change their mind after reading this book. And it was a catbook. But the cat sitter the family procures doesn't understand Tuffy's refined feline palate, and Little Miss Soppy next door seems intent on dressing Tuffy in a nightie and calling him Janet.
